Hi

Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged. No, I haven't felt the best and I appreciate your prayers. I don't get online as often as I used to either. I wish I could say I'm filling my days with lots of running, biking, playing with the kids, but I'm not. I'm doing a lot of sleeping and resting.

I usually have someone here with me now, especially if I am here with the kids. My sister in law is a God send. She comes over while Jade is working. Also wonderful friends take the kids to their houses so I can rest too.

We did have a nice weekend. We hunkered down and watched movies together and actually enjoyed the rainy weather. It has been a challenge trying to manage the pain. The meds make me tired but without them, I am a bear. With them, I am a somby. So we're getting that straightened out. I honestly haven't been out of the house much in the past couple of weeks.
Today, Dad is going to take me out to run some errands. I call it PHysical therapy! I need to do it--get out. It wouldn't be too hard for me to stay in our cave or home and just rest. THat feels good.

The Love Run is coming together really nicely. The community has really pitched in to help out. I hope to see a lot of you there.
Well, I need to get around, dad is on his way.
Love,
Becca

Dear Becca,
I have followed your blog for a few months and I'm so uplifted by your spirit and honesty. Sharing this on some days must be very difficult. I lost my 27 year old daughter to gastric cancer last year. Now I am trying to work diligently to bring gastric cancer awareness to Congress and hopefully find ways to increase the funding for research. It is long overdue. You have given me much needed strength in doing this. I hope that I have some success soon and I don't plan to stop until my request are realized.

You and your family are in my prayers everyday! Keep on fighting.

Becca -

Glad to see your post today. Wish you were feeling more perky but hope you're enjoying your time with your family.
You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers daily. Enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather today with your Dad. You are such an inspiration to so many! God Bless You!

Hi Becca! So great to hear your written voice. We don't mean to hassle you with our questions of "where in the world is Becca" but we miss your blogging. Understanding that the meds are slowing your desire to get on the computer. Heck there are days where I don't even feel like getting on this crazy thing. I'm happy to hear of your relaxed July 4th weekend. Also glad to hear that you are getting those meds "straightened out". The zomby feeling is probably not fun. Take care and enjoy the afternoon with your Dad.

Becca-It is nice to hear your 'written voice' too. If I can be a friend to help out with the kids, PLEASE call me. Abbi and Maddie love to be with them. I have a couple pictures to send to you from Mom's retirement (we just got them developed today!-not real on the ball with that)You are in my thoughts daily, as you are with so many other people. God bless you. Lisa Gawthrop

I, too, appreciate your update on how you are doing. I am also a regular reader of your blog and am constantly uplifted by your strength, your faith in God, your determination, and by those that are touched by your journey and your willingness to share it. Just a reminder that if you need anything, i.e. an errand ran, someone to sit with you when your sister-in-law or other friends or family cannot, someone to take the kids for a walk, whatever - I would be happy to help out (feel free to e-mail me or call) Danette dntill@embarqmail.com

Becca

I will be glad to come in if you need anything. I am fairly good at any nursing needs you might have. Also, if you feel good enough, the kids are organizing things to get ready for the Fall Fest 5k. Let me know if you feel good enough for me to come in and pick up the materials that you have. I haven't called because I knew you had been resting alot the past week or so. Love you lots. I had a great time shopping with you yesterday! I didn't know the room with the TV and couch and chairs were for us men in the dress department. A microwave and snacks would be nice too. Maybe I'll drop Macys a suggestion. I hope I didn't scare you too bad!!
Love Daddy
The movie was great too!

Becca, We are continuing to pray for you. So glad that you were able to get out. I know that it takes alot of energy just to go shopping. Yesterday a baby robin flew into our garage and couldn't find his way out. We tried and tried to shew him out the door, but he just wouldn't go. Finally, after he had landed, my husband put his finger out and that baby robin walked right onto it. He had no idea what was going to happen, but he took the step anyway and we were able to take him out of the garage. That is the way that God wants us to trust. A hard thing to do at times, but it is what we need to do to have the peace that God can only give. God sent that real life situation to show me that I need to trust more. May we all trust more and put our lives completely in His hands. I love you, Becca. Hugs, Karen
